Dr Matthew Wong (BDS London)
Principal Dentist and Clinical Director
Dr Matthew Wong obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of London and subsequently a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of the United Kingdom while working in private practice in the UK. In the pursuit of his passion in dental education, Dr Wong took on the roles of tutor and lecturer for the Diploma program of Dental Nursing (UK), and was later appointed a mentor for newly-graduated dentists in the region.
In 2014, Dr Wong moved to Singapore, where he worked as an associate dentist in private practice before setting up Elements Dental in 2018. Currently he is appointed committee member and Chairperson of Continuous Dental Education for the College of General Dentists Singapore.
Dr Wong’s main focus is currently on Digital Dentistry and Functional Aesthetics with the use of Adhesive Dentistry, which puts emphasis on the functional longevity and occlusion of aesthetic direct and indirect restorations, as well as the functional implications it has on the rest of the body. He achieves that in conjunction with simplified digital workflows and CAD/CAM via the latest intraoral scanners and 3D printing technologies.
Today Dr Wong is the first dentist in South-East Asia to graduate from the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington, where he is extensively trained in clinical dentistry focusing on occlusion and management of Full Mouth Rehabilitation cases.
He now lectures internationally and regularly conducts workshops and lectures on Restoratives, Aesthetic Dentistry, Digital Workflow, 3D Printing and Design, Rubber Dam Isolation and Dental Photography.
